The 8th Edition of Agents Choice Awards 2022 Gala Night was held on Friday 4th Nov’ 2022 at Sarova Woodlands,Nakuru to Unveil last Years Winners.
These awards are hosted by Bima Intermediaries Association of Kenya, the only umbrella body representing all insurance agents and intermediaries in Kenya.The Awards are a celebration of excellence, professionalism and also to acknowledge and honor insurance industry players who have demonstrated consistence and outstanding performance in the particular categories listed below.The 2022 Agent Choice Awards winners came from the following  various categories citations:-
1. Customer Champion
Customer Champion – the insurer must have a customer centric approach that means excellent service delivery – no long queues, no engaged phones, good country wide coverage, nice offices and branches, well designed products, fair pricing, access.
2. Training Excellence and Impact
Training – training that has national access that targets all levels that can visibly make a difference to improve not just technical knowledge but also behaviors
3. Best Claims Settlement
Best Claims – very simply the insurer which pays claims quickly and fairly and works with the whole value chain
4. Overall Agents Choice
The insurer who agents value for their consistent support, partnerships, products, service, innovation – the insurer they want to be associated with
5. CEO Of The Year
This is the insurer CEO who has done the most for agents – supporting the value chain so it works together to enhance the sector, not creating barriers and who champions the Kenya case
6. Best Motor Repairer
Motor Repairer – a garage that offers quality at a fair price, that is accessible, that gives value add and has great post care
7. Chairman’s Choice
Chairman’s choice – who you personally think is doing something different, good who supports you – specific examples would be useful
8. Agent Of The Year
Agent Of The Year – the final award that recognizes an agent who has shown total commitment, dedication, is a role model, who has supported growth, technology and innovation and a positive image of agent

Best Product- this can be a traditional or a new one that is innovative using technology- the key is the product offers great cover for a great price and is utilized by many to enhance insurance penetration and financial inclusion
10. Employee of the Year
This is the employee who has made the most impact in the life of the
agent by making it easier for agents to deal with the company and in
handling of their portfolio. One nominee for Life insurance and the
other for General Insurance.
11. Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – the insurer who has delivered the best CSR – either a specific cause or multiple general initiatives, and who is using insurance to enhance and improve the local communities
12. Risk Management Solution
The company which has developed the best risk solution – this could be internal to manage their risks such as a system or capacity building; or a value add risk service direct to clients…
13. Best Counter Fraud Initiative
We are looking for the newest/best fraud solution – this could be at point of sale, point of claim, or both – it is likely to be situated around technology. It can be internal based or external and could involve supporting agents, brokers or even medical practitioners.
14. Best Innovative Company of the Year
We are looking here for something that disrupts the sector and is a true innovation- it is something that has never been done before and that is adding value – it can be an agent. Broker, company, it can be a technology or a way of selling, it could be a new process or product – but it must be original and disrupting.
