Bima Intermediaries Association of Kenya is an insurance agents' association whose mandate is as follows:-

• To promote and represent the common business interest of independent insurance agents within the industry and before government and the public consistent with the best interest of the insurance buying public.
• Provide help, support and look after the welfare of insurance agents especially through value added services.
• Provide training in order to improve standards and professionalism across the industry.
• Self-regulation for independent agents with a strong code of ethics.
• Promote insurance penetration offering a quality mark ,and avenue for recourse in case of members that do not conform to a strict code of ethics and conduct when dealing with both members of the public and insurance companies.
